Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an author TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host as well as the owner and editor of The Huffington Post. She moved from Greece to England when she was 16 years old, and received an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. The first ever foreign-born student to be elected president of the highly regarded debate group The Cambridge Union, at age 21 she took over the position. Being a conservative syndicated blog when she graduated, she went on to become the voice of Huffington Post. It was her celebrity that helped to attract several famous contributors who shared their opinions on the news political, culture and politics. Arianna was famous in 2003 when she ran as an independent in California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. Additionally, she was involved in a Detroit-based project that promoted fuel-efficient automobiles. Forbes placed her at 12 on its top 10 list of Most Influential Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their list of the top 100 in 2010. In 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her president of that media group which included many at the time-current AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos who was a Journalism and management expert. She was extremely close to her father. But it was her bond with her mother that has shaped her. At an early age, she displayed leadership qualities that remain highly respected. At the age of 16years old, she emigrated from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. As a student, she joined the Cambridge Union, a college debate club. The third female president and the first foreigner she served as the head for the Cambridge Union. She graduated in 1972 with a degree in Economics. Following her degree she became a columnist, critic and TV host. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began to write the books she wrote with Bernard Levin's aid.
