Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. Her modelling career began in Italy, where she was raised and was born in California. In 1996, she made her debut as an actress in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It took some time for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller part. She struggled with the transition into acting since actors were never considered good actors, and they typically were given less parts. Amy did not give up. Her first major part came from The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. In 2005, she was cast on the lead role in the romantic comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major film at the box office and Amy was finally able to get the recognition that she was trying for for more than 10 years. She then continued to appear in some of the biggest film productions, such as the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless with Jason Statham, in which she portrayed a character who remained in the spotlight for a long time.
