Ky-Mani

Ky-ManiKy-mani , who is nearing completion of his untitled third album, is certainly a star. On the 26th of February in 1976 Ky-mani was born to famous Robert Nesta Marley and Jamaican table tennis player Anita Belnavis, in Falmouth, Jamaica. East African words for Ky-mani are a reference to an adventurous traveler. In the sense of an East African man, his albums and travels represent an adventure. His musical voyage began in 1999 when he released The Journey. Through an eclectic approach, he searched for his niche and travelled the spectrum of music and exploring his diverse talent. Many More Roads, a traditional album of reggae that was nominated for a Grammy in 2001 revealed a mature Ky-mani. The Journey as well as Many More Roads were well appreciated across the globe, establishing Ky-mani as an individual "artist". Ky-Mani blends roots reggae, hip-hop, R&B, and contemporary jazz to form his unique sound.
